Soundkeeper Volunteers
Volunteers keep watch on Puget Sound waterways and estuaries
Soundkeeper Volunteer Patrols - how our members and volunteers help prevent pollution in Puget Sound
By motor boat, kayak, bicycle or even on foot, Soundkeeper Volunteers are helping to protect Puget Sound from polluters. The Puget Soundkeeper relies on the help of concerned citizens to alert us of pollution.
If
you frequently travel near any waterway around the Sound, including
inland lakes and rivers, you can help! As a Soundkeeper Volunteer, you will learn to identify and prevent water pollution through the monitoring, documenting and reporting of pollution sources. Bicycle commuters and joggers/walkers, it's easy to keep
your eyes peeled for pollution if you know where to look.
