Volunteers keep watch on Puget Sound waterways and estuaries

Soundkeeper Volunteer Patrols - how our members and volunteers help prevent pollution in Puget Sound

Kayak-1.jpg

By motor boat, kayak, bicycle or even on foot, Soundkeeper Volunteers are helping to protect Puget Sound from polluters. The Soundkeeper relies on the help of concerned citizens to alert us of pollution.

If you frequently travel near any waterway around the Sound, including inland lakes and rivers, you can help! With our help, so that you know exactly what to look for, you can help prevent pollution in your neighborhood. Bicycle commuters and joggers/walkers, it's easy to keep you eyes peeled for pollution if you know where to look.

Here is what our Soundkeeper Volunteers are finding on patrol:

February 15th Duwamish River and Shoreline Cleanup - Neal Chism

January 14th Duwamish Shoreline Cleanup - Neal Chism reporting

December 9th boat patrol on the Duwamish River - Tom Foley reporting

November 4th boat patrol on Lake Union - Tom Foley reporting
