In the 2019 legislative session, we have the best chance in over a decade to make real change to protect and sustain Washington’s environment!

Join Puget Soundkeeper Alliance, Environmental Priorities Coalition and hundreds of activists to push for key environmental legislation in Olympia on January 29.

For the 2019 legislative session, the Environmental Priorities Coalition has adopted four priorities essential for healthy communities and a thriving environment:

  • 100% Clean Electricity
  • Orca Emergency Response
  • Oil Spill Prevention
  • Reducing Plastic Pollution

As co-hosts, Soundkeeper will also be leading a 30-minute workshop titled, Clean Water for Orca and Salmon.  Learn more about clean water guidelines and the role it plays in existing legislation and policies being discussed this session.

During lobby day, you will team up with other activists to speak up for the environment and gain the skills to be a persuasive constituent. You’ll have the opportunity to attend issue briefings, learn how to lobby, hear from environmental champions, and meet face-to-face with your elected officials.
