Puget Soundkeeper’s Board of Directors is excited to announce that it has selected an interim management team of Julie Angell and Katelyn Kinn to serve as co-executive directors until we have completed our search for a new leader.  The Board is extremely appreciative of their willingness to take on these responsibilities and has great confidence in their ability to focus on our critical work in the several months ahead.

Julie Angell has been our Operations Director since 2011.  She brought 11 years of private sector experience in business administration and employee engagement to her role with Puget Soundkeeper.   Katelyn Kinn has served as our Staff Attorney since 2010.  She received her J.D. from California Western School of Law and had significant legal experience working with non-profit organizations both in the U.S. and abroad.  Julie will be primarily responsible for operations, finance and programs; Katelyn will oversee litigation, policy and development.

Puget Soundkeeper has retained NPAG to conduct our search for a successor to Chris Wilke.  You may find out more information about the search here.

We would once again like to thank Chris Wilke for his dedication to our organization and to the recovery of Puget Sound.  We look forward to continued collaboration with him as he transitions to an advocacy role with Waterkeeper Alliance.  Under Chris’ leadership, Puget Soundkeeper has become one of the most effective clean water advocates in the country.

With our interim leadership team and new executive director, we look forward to continuing our efforts to increasing awareness of issues Puget Sound is facing, cleaning up our waterways, enforcing environmental laws and putting stronger clean water protections in place.
