Over the past 40 years, Puget Soundkeeper, in partnership with people and organizations around the Sound, has created tremendous clean water momentum. In the late 1990s Soundkeeper filed the first Clean Water Act enforcement lawsuit by a public organization in Washington State history (followed by over 200 more!), led the charge for a Sound-wide No-Discharge Zone to block sewage dumping from vessels, and hosted tens of thousands of people at waterfront cleanups, educational events, and kayak excursions across our shared waters.
The work continues. From toxic stormwater to climate change, plastic pollution and habitat loss, the Puget Sound will always need your help, your voice, and your energy.
