Get Involved

Our community requested more frequent walking cleanups outside of Seattle. We’re excited to shake up our offerings this year in response to your requests! You can expect plenty of action in Seattle and King County, including our signature Earth Day event at Golden Gardens and Seattle Summer Cleanup on Lake Union, but we’ll also meet you where you’re at. We’ll connect with partner organizations around the Sound to bring you volunteer opportunities and special events in your region.

What Kinds of Events Can I Look Forward To?

Cleanups, community science, kayak paddles on Lake Union and the Duwamish River, low-tide beach walks, parties, behind-the-scenes tours, action alerts, educational workshops…and more!

What Does “Tributes and Tributaries” Mean?

Puget Sound is a vast estuary home to over 4 million people and 70% of Washington’s population. Ten thousand rivers and streams drain 42,800 square kilometers of watershed, from the smallest creeks to the mightiest of rivers.

All life in our region depends on this network of waterways. We protect and enhance the interconnected waters of Puget Sound through our words and actions. We build resilience for the next generation. We pay tribute to what these myriad tributaries teach us, flowing together as one, toward the wide-open possibilities of a healthy, vibrant Puget Sound.
