Looking to start 2022 on a good note? Join us on Monday, January 17th for a cleanup at Seattle’s Lincoln Park in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Bonus – this is our Kick-Off Cleanup of 2022!

In 1994, Congress designated Martin Luther King Jr. Day (MLK day) as a National Day of Service. Every year, folks around the country honor the day by volunteering in their communities. This MLK day, help protect and enhance the health of our community (aquatic and human) by removing trash from the beach at Lincoln Park.

The cleanup will last from 10 am – 12 pm and we will provide all the supplies you need. Feel free to bring your own trash grabber, bucket, or gloves if you would like. As the event gets closer, we will send volunteers an email with more details. Space is limited to twelve volunteers, so make sure to sign up quickly!

Please note, volunteers must show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 and wear masks when gathered. We ask that you do not attend the event if you have any COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. Please email Gillian@pugetsoundkeeper.org if you have any questions about this.
