Join Puget Soundkeeper, Washington State Ferries, Alaskan Brewing Co.’s Coastal CODE, and Centerplate for a series of Puget Sound beach cleanups near some of our favorite ferry terminals. All materials will be provided, so bring yourself and a friend!
A post-cleanup celebration will be hosted by Shawn O’Donnell’s American Grill and Irish Pub in Fremont (3601 Fremont Ave. N.) from 1:00 – 3:00. Cleanup volunteers may enjoy refreshments courtesy of Alaskan Brewing Co. with proof of participation.
When: Saturday, August 11 from 10:00 – 12:00
Where: three locations to choose from
Fauntleroy: meet at Lincoln Park
Please park in the smaller, southern parking lot for Lincoln Park that is located closer to the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal. From there, it is a short walk down to the beach along the access road. We will meet by the first picnic shelter located near the restrooms. Lincoln Park is also serviced by the 116, 118, 119 and C-Line buses.
Bainbridge: meet at Hawley Cove Park
The best parking is available along NW Wing Point Way adjacent to the golf course. The trailhead for the park is located at the intersection of Wing Point Way and Azalea. Walk through the forested section of the park to the beach where our site captain will meet you with supplies.
Edmonds: meet at Brackett’s Landing South
The group will meet on the grassy lawn located at Brackett’s Landing South. This is immediately south of the ferry terminal. Parking is available along the north end of the park and the 116, 130 and 196 buses stop nearby.
