Join us for our annual International Coastal Cleanup (ICC)! Volunteers will remove debris and litter along the shoreline and in the surrounding streets. Volunteers will also be collecting data, which will help inform long term solutions for plastic-free oceans and waterways. If you’d like to participate in the data collection process using your phone, please download our Clean Swell app before the cleanup to keep track of the trash you collect.
We recommend that all volunteers wear close-toed shoes and weather-appropriate gear. Volunteers should also bring their own reusable water bottles. Snacks and supplies will be provided.
There will be two separate cleanups occurring at the same time: one at Alki Beach and one at Myrtle Edwards Park. Both cleanups will be from 10 am – 12 pm, and you can register for the location that works best for you.
