Join Janet, one of Puget Soundkeeper’s volunteers, at her International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) event on Saturday, October 4th from 10:30 am to 12 pm.
What distinguishes an ICC cleanup from a regular beach cleanup is the collection of data using physical data sheets or the Clean Swell app. By collecting data about the types of debris we find, we’re helping build a global database that helps inform and produce legislation that protects the environment and communities from the negative impacts of water pollution.
Volunteers should meet near the southeast corner of the Golden Gardens Bathhouse and look for Puget Soundkeeper flags on arrival. Bathrooms will be available, and all supplies will be provided! All are welcome to join!
