This will be your chance to speak directly with lawmakers and their staff in support of legislation that will protect Washington’s waters. Together, we will advocate for new laws that will protect salmon from toxic tire chemicals, curb data center proliferation and regulate existing data centers, and protect the waters of Washington. A final agenda is forthcoming.
More details forthcoming, but please keep in mind:
- This will be an all day, in person only event in Olympia, WA. Please plan to arrive in Olympia around 9AM on Feb 11th. Meeting schedules are dependent on the elected official’s schedules, but plan to conclude your day around 3-4pm.
- We encourage new advocates to join us! No lobbying experience required! There will be a briefing prior to the day’s events on ‘how to lobby’ and discussion on what bills we will be advocating for.
- We will try our best to make sure each participant connects with the office that represents their home district, but final meeting schedules are dependent on the schedules of legislators and their staff.
- Morning refreshments and grab and go lunches will be provided.
- Our venue, the United Churches of Olympia, is a spiritual community that is a safe space, welcoming of all faiths and backgrounds. If you have any concerns please reach out!
