Join us as we retrieve the mussel cages deployed in November 2025 for the Mussel Watch Program! Mussel cage retrieval will start at 6 PM and volunteers should plan to meet at the Puget Soundkeeper office.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (WDFW) Mussel Watch is a biennial community science effort in which a network of groups (including Puget Soundkeeper) team up to deploy mussels that are analyzed to determine pollutant accumulation. Puget Soundkeeper volunteer teams will collect cages from eight shoreline sites in King County during evening low tides.
