Pint-Sized Science, A closer look at Puget Sound

Please join us in Tukwila for a family-friendly evening focused on learning about some of the environmental issues and work being done on the Green and Duwamish Rivers. The evening will kick off a presentation from Mike Perfetti from the City of Tukwila, who will speak about the city’s work on the Duwamish Gardens project, which improves salmon habitat on the Duwamish. Next we will hear from Forterra’s Jasmin Lightbody, who works with private property owners to restore their riverfronts. Connie Sullivan from Puget Soundkeeper will talk about tracking microplastics in the Green/ Duwamish watershed. We will close with hearing about meaningful individual actions that audience members can take to reduce their impact on Puget Sound waterways.
