Join Puget Soundkeeper on Tuesday, July 5th for a Seattle Summer Cleanup Series (SSCS) across Lake Union! SSCS is a series of events focused on removing hundreds of pounds of debris from Seattle’s urban waters.
On July 5th, we will clean up Lake Union following the July 4th festivities by foot and kayak! We will provide you with all the supplies you need, and kayak volunteers do not need any prior experience. You only need to bring your own kayak if you sign up for the BYO Kayak Cleanup. 1. Wallingford Walking Cleanup
- Time: 10 am – 12 pm
- Location: Meet at the Wallingford Steps.

2. South Lake Union Walking Cleanup
- Time: 9 – 11 am
- Location: Lake Union Park (near Center for Wooden Boats).

3. Lake Union Kayak Cleanup Shift 1 – FULL!!
- Time: 8 – 10 am
- Location: Northwest Outdoor Center

4. Lake Union Kayak Cleanup Shift 2 – FULL!!
- Time: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
- Location: Northwest Outdoor Center
- Waitlist: Email Jessica@pugetsoundkeeper.org to be added to the waitlist.
Pizza and treats will be provided to all cleanup participants at 12 pm.

COVID-19
Please note, volunteers must attest vaccination against COVID-19 upon registration. Masks are optional outdoors, though strongly encouraged.
