Under our Summer Cleanup Series and Salmon and Legacy Debris Project, Puget Soundkeeper is hosting a Upper Duwamish River Boat Cleanup in Tukwila, WA.
This cleanup will be a Bring-your-Own-Boat (BYOB) event, but we will provide cleanup supplies, water, snacks and help get folks back to their cars at the end of the cleanup. We will need an additional 10-12 people who can help out on land at our base camps (at the put-in and take-out locations). Youth must be 16 years or older to participate and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
If you’d like to participate in the on-water cleanup and don’t mind bringing your own boat, you can register here.
If you’d like to participate at our land-based cleanup at Codiga Park, please register here.
If you have a flatbed truck that you don’t mind getting a little dirty, we could use 1-2 trucks to haul debris from a drop off site half-way down the river. Contact Anna Bachmann at the email address below if you can help.
