Under our Summer Cleanup Series and Salmon and Legacy Debris (SLD) Project, Puget Soundkeeper is hosting a final Upper Duwamish River Boat Cleanup in July in Tukwila, WA. In partnership with the River Access Paddle Program, we are hoping to provide up to 10 double kayaks (for 20 participants), as well as provide cleanup supplies, water, snacks and help get folks back to their cars at the end of the cleanup. We will also welcome folks who can bring their own boat to the river (a kayak, canoe, or raft works best). We will need an additional 10-12 people who can help out on land at our base camps (at the put-in and take-out locations). Youth must be 15 years or older to participate and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Note: All kayak shift spots have been filled, however, if you’re still interested in joining us, you can do so for a land-based cleanup at Codiga Park. Please RSVP here.
