SUMMARY:Kayak Cleanup [Sept 10]
DESCRIPTION:Join Puget Soundkeeper for a Lake Union Kayak Cleanup from 12-2 PM! Volunteers do not need any prior kayaking experience and will be provided with all necessary equipment. Volunteers younger than 18 years can participate\, as long as a guardian is present on the boat with them. \nLimited spots are available. To register\, please email Jillian (jillianc@pugetsoundkeeper.org). Hope to sea you there! \nNote: Kayak cleanups in September are dependent on the weather patterns. In the case that it is cancelled\, we will let you know no later than 9 am on September 10th.

SUMMARY:Aden's International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Event
DESCRIPTION:Join Aden’s annual International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) at Marina Beach Park in Edmonds. \nEvery year\, over 8 million tons of plastic enter the world’s oceans—equivalent to one garbage truck every minute. In Puget Sound alone\, volunteers have removed thousands of pounds of debris\, including plastics and hazardous materials like creosote-treated wood and tires\, from our shorelines. \nThis October\, Aden Han (5th grader at Evergreen School in Shoreline) is partnering with Puget Soundkeeper to host an International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) at Marina Beach Park in Edmonds. Together\, we’ll remove litter\, collect valuable data\, and contribute to policies that protect our environment and communities from pollution. This family-friendly event welcomes volunteers of all ages—kids included! \nThis cleanup is led by a Puget Soundkeeper volunteer – if you’re able to attend their cleanup\, please do so! You can register here.  \nMeeting Location: Marina Beach Park. 470 Admiral Way\, Edmonds WA 98020. Picnic area on the grassy lawn by the dock at the beach entrance on Admiral Way.
