Lake Union Kayak Patrol

Join Puget Soundkeeper on our kayak patrol as we monitor pollution and prevent debris from contaminating our waterways! While on patrol, we keep an eye out for abnormal discharges and oil slicks while removing debris that accumulates in the waters of Lake Union. Volunteers will be outfitted in double kayaks and paddle to a designated area of Lake Union to monitor water pollution and remove trash. International Coastal Cleanup

Saturday, September 18th is International Coastal Cleanup Day! People around the world will head out to remove accumulated trash from their local shorelines and beaches. Together, we will document the types of debris entering our waterways in an effort to inform practical solutions to the global problem of marine trash.
