SUMMARY:Mussel Monitoring [November 4th]
DESCRIPTION:The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Mussel Watch Program is a biennial community science program. Teams of Puget Soundkeeper volunteers install mussel cages at eight different shoreline sites in King County during a fall late-night low tides. If you’re interested in volunteering\, RSVP here.

SUMMARY:Janet's International Coastal Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Join Janet\, one of Puget Soundkeeper’s volunteers\, at her International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) event on Saturday\, October 4th from 10:30 am to 12 pm. \nWhat distinguishes an ICC cleanup from a regular beach cleanup is the collection of data using physical data sheets or the Clean Swell app. By collecting data about the types of debris we find\, we’re helping build a global database that helps inform and produce legislation that protects the environment and communities from the negative impacts of water pollution. \nVolunteers should meet near the southeast corner of the Golden Gardens Bathhouse and look for Puget Soundkeeper flags on arrival. SUMMARY:Aden's International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Event
DESCRIPTION:Join Aden’s annual International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) at Marina Beach Park in Edmonds. \nEvery year\, over 8 million tons of plastic enter the world’s oceans—equivalent to one garbage truck every minute. Together\, we’ll remove litter\, collect valuable data\, and contribute to policies that protect our environment and communities from pollution. This family-friendly event welcomes volunteers of all ages—kids included! \nThis cleanup is led by a Puget Soundkeeper volunteer – if you’re able to attend their cleanup\, please do so! You can register here.  \nMeeting Location: Marina Beach Park. 470 Admiral Way\, Edmonds WA 98020. Picnic area on the grassy lawn by the dock at the beach entrance on Admiral Way.
