Water Quality monitoring results are available here for Springbrook Creek in Kent and Renton, as well as several other urban creeks in King County. Data collection began in the fall of 2019. All water quality monitoring is covered by a Quality Assurance Project Plan (link to QAPP) that is reviewed and updated annually. Youth who participated in the monitoring are trained by Sno-King Watershed Council and Puget Soundkeeper to the level of a water quality technician through classroom and hands-on training activities and are involved in all aspects of the work from data collection, data analysis, and reporting. Data for individual sites visited in the Lost Urban Creeks Water Quality monitoring effort can be accessed here on the Sno-King Watershed Council Data Portal.
The following documents contain findings, discussion, recommendations and next steps of the Lost Urban Creeks Water Quality Monitoring efforts.
