In 2023, five groups around Puget Sound conducted a community science project to examine microplastics showing up on our sandy beaches. Using the Marine Debris Tracker phone app (https://www.debristracker.org/) and a simple protocol, Soundkeeper developed kits that can be checked out to other groups. Use our kits to continue the data collection effort of examining how microplastics are impacting our near-shoreline environments.
