Puget Soundkeeper is the regional coordinator for International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) events happening across the Puget Sound! Every year, we work with partner organizations and residents across the Puget Sound to organize cleanups from August through December. The cleanups listed below are being run by our community partners, and are open to volunteers!
What distinguishes an ICC cleanup from a regular beach cleanup is the collection of data using physical data sheets or the Clean Swell app. By collecting data about the types of debris we find, we’re helping build a global database that helps inform and produce legislation that protects the environment and communities from the negative impacts of water pollution.
