Washington Supreme Court rules in favor of Ecology’s authority
Today, the Washington Supreme Court ruled 8-1 in support of a decision of the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology), defeating a challenge by rancher Joseph Lemire in a case that challenged the state’s authority to regulate the water quality impacts of cattle and other nonpoint source pollution.
